Set the Table for 2025: A Day of Food, Creativity and Well-Being Urban Retreat

It’s been a while since I hosted in-person events, and I cannot think of a better way to start the new year with gathering women together in my home. I am excited to invite you to Set the Table for 2025, a one-day urban retreat for women, where we will connect over food, creativity, and thoughtful intention for the year ahead.

This isn’t about “resetting” or starting over.  It’s a space to embrace where you are, look forward with clarity, and savor the beauty in the everyday—through food styling, creative visioning, and a touch of well-being.

I’ll be joined by wellness educator and practitioner, Bahareh Hosseini, who will guide us through a well-being session, adding a thoughtful and restorative element to the day.

📅 Date: Thursday, January 30, 2025
Time: 10:00AM – 3:00PM
📍 Location: My home in Toronto, near Casa Loma (details shared upon registration)
💳 Price: CAD$220+HST (payment via e-transfer only)
🌸 Spots are limited to 8 women to keep the retreat small and intimate. 

What’s Included:

  • A light breakfast of my favourite apple cake for cold weather, with coffee and tea to sip on all day 
  • A beautifully styled vegetarian homemade lunch, prepared by me 
  • A food styling and creativity workshop (you know me, so yes, there will be edible flowers!)
  • A mindful wellness practice, including gentle sitting + standing stretches, led by Bahareh Hosseini, (no yoga attire necessary!)
  • A discussion on the art of nourishment, inspired by the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), to help you connect with the energy of food and its role in well-being
  • A guided visioning session where we’ll reflect, brainstorm, and creatively articulate our intentions for 2025

  • A booklet of recipes featuring the dishes served at the urban retreat, so you can recreate them at home
  • A surprise goody bag of mementos to reflect the themes of food, creativity, and well-being, curated by me
